It’s that wonderful, magical time of year again.
Now that it’s only a month until Christmas Day, it’s perfectly reasonable to get in the Christmas spirit!
It’s not all good news though, as the big IFSC Christmas market will not be happening this year. And so, I’ve had to dig up some alternatives for a dose of holiday cheer in Dublin. Luckily, there are lots of smaller Christmas markets taking place around the capital this year, so all is not lost.
Christmas at the CHQ
Right beside the site of the Christmas market, the CHQ building in the IFSC will hold a Christmas at CHQ event Thursdays-Sundays from December 8-23. It promises market stalls, mince pies and festive cheer, so it’s guaranteed to make you feel all Christmassy.

Dublin Flea Christmas Market
On December 9-11, the Dublin Flea Market will hold a special Christmas themed version at the Point Village. Expect the usual flea market stalls with additional crafty, Christmassy ones. There will be 100 stalls so you’re bound to find plenty of Christmas gift ideas.

Bernard Shaw’s Christmas Flea Market
The Bernard Shaw will host a weekend of Christmas goodness at its Christmas Flea Markets in December. Not only is the Bernard Shaw on my favourite spots in Dublin, it promises “fab stalls packed full for all your Xmas shopping needs”and the oh, so important mulled wine and hot apple cider.

Smithfield Christmas Bazaar
Taking place at Block B, Haymarket, Smithfield’s Christmas Bazaar is going to be Dublin’s biggest indoor Christmas market. It promises a food market, music, local crafts, vintage finds and a pop up Christmas cafe.
